EJG has its feature service called Shiksha Lekh
Sangalo (SLS). It is a collection of articles on educational issues. EJG
started publishing SLS from 2058 BS. Since then EJG has been engaged in
disseminating the status of education in Nepal through feature services.
Through regular publication since Jestha 2060 BS, SLS has unfolded many
educational issues. In addition to publication from newspapers, educational
programs in FM radios have also broadcasted the feature articles. Analysis of
investigative reporting in SLS has not only provided information to community
but also has incorporated a feeling of responsibility and accountability. SLS
has brought educational issues into discussions and debates through
investigative reporting; provided overview of positive and negative aspects of
individuals, groups, and organizations related to education; identified and presented
the causes of poor access of dalits and disadvantaged groups to education;
identified weakness in implementation of education programs; unveiled the
opportunities and weaknesses in overall educational system; assisted EFA 2015
programs by advocating good aspects and identifying areas to be improved;
increased people awareness by publishing educational issues in newspapers by
publishing articles related to school management, governmental policies,
teacher's responsibility, etc.
